For the second year in a row, Fortra has launched its State of Cybersecurity Survey (2025) to canvas opinions from security experts worldwide and keep a well-trained ear to the ground.
This year’s results were surprising. Despite an admitted need to raise the level of skills in-house, the trends point to more and more organizations hiring out, and fewer organizations investing in internal security education. Zero trust is being increasingly seen as a “nice but not necessary” aspect of an overall security strategy (or is it just being seen as “not attainable”?), and if there’s one thing most organizations can agree on, it’s that they are using entirely too many tools out of the gate. Consequently, security solutions numbers dropped, and the rate of vendor consolidation is going up.
Join us for a spirited discussion on these and other noteworthy trends that were revealed in our second annual survey. We’ll cover insights in the following categories:
- Risks and challenges
- Initiatives
- Tools and vendors
- Staffing
See how your peers are faring (and coping) with the unprecedented challenges of increased AI and constantly evolving cloud realities while you scope out the undercurrents that are most likely to affect your strategy next year.
Fortra’s Antonio Sanchez, Principal Cybersecurity Evangelist, and Wade Barisoff, Director of Product, will be leading the discussion.
